It was a shocked to announce the come back shown by Harimau Malaya in AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 recently. Many of us sceptical on performance of Harimau Malaya to move higher stage in the tournament.

In early, Harimau Malaya only scored 0-0 against Myanmar. Then we defeated by Thailand 2-3



However, Harimau Malaya has shown a resurgence in the third game against Singapore. Despite, playing with 10 players, we were able to beat Singapore 3-1 to advance to the semifinals of Suzuki Cup 2014.

Malaysian fans and all Ultra Malaya almost disappointed with the first semi-final, when Harimau Malaya lost 1-2 to Vietnam. However, Harimau Malaya has risen when thrashed Vietnam with aggregate 4-2 on second semifinal in Hanoi Vietnam.


In the first semifinal, Malaysia play against Thailand in Bangkok. But we lost 0-2. 



Resurrection occurs in the second final, the spirit of victory almost become ours when Harimau Malaya managed to score 3 goals before the last few minutes, Thailand crashed Harimau Malaya hopes with two goals to win with 4-3 aggregate.


AFF SUZUKI CUP 2014 QUALIFIERS Result : Laos vs Myanmar


Myanmar won the AFF Suzuki Cup qualifiers after beating hosts Laos 2-1 to qualify for the finals just now.


Previously Myanmar sure they qualified to the final when they beat Cambodia in the third match in the qualifying round of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 with a score of 1-0.



With this victory, Myanmar has been picking up ten points to qualify for the final round of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 in November.

 

Despite losing to Myanmar, Laos previously has also qualified for the finals of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 after successfully defeated Timor Leste in the third game by collecting nine points behind Myanmar ..



With this result, Myanmar eligible to the final stage of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 in Group B along with the hosts, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. Meanwhile Laos jointly co-hosts Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines in Group A.


The final round of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 will begin on 23 November.


THE SULTAN OF JOHOR CUP 2014 FINAL India vs Great Britain


Hockey The Sultan of Johor Cup U21 2014 ended a while ago with the title remain to India after defeated unbeaten Great Britain in the league stage.

India's 2-1 win over Great Britain saw the greatness of India after won the gold medals at the Asian Games in Incheon Korea recently.



India stands out as a success greatness after tied Great Britain 1-1 until the last minute. India shown high morale, successfully earning a penalty corner for the last 45 seconds and get the winning goal through Hermanpreet.


With this victory, India managed to retain the title in the last edition and become a giant hockey in Asia.



Earlier in the league stage, Great Britain beat India 2-0  


In the match for 3rd and 4th place, the Aussie has managed to beat the Kiwis 6-2 to win the bronze medal.



While Malaysia finished 5th after beating Pakistan 3-1. Earlier in the group stage, Pakistan has managed a 2-2 draw with Malaysia.

HOCKEY THE SULTAN OF JOHOR CUP 2014 Malaysia continues to grieve


Malaysia failed to put themselves in the top four in the championship of the Sultan of Johor Cup in 2014 when they drew 2-2 against Pakistan.

Arul Selvaraj requested that hockey fans do not blame the players for failing at this time but he will take responsible for the failure.

Malaysia is ranked 5th going down again against Pakistan on 19 October 2014 at 3.30 pm. to seize the 5th and 6th place in the overall tournament.





Other results, Great Britain beat New Zealand 3-0, while India has shocked Australia with the results match 6-2.



India vs Great Britain at 8:35 tonight in the final of the Australia vs New Zealand on the 3rd place playoff and 4th at 6:05 this afternoon.


AFF SUZUKI CUP 2014 QUALIFIER Myanmar thrashed out Brunei DS


Myanmar finally recorded their first win when they beat Brunei DS 3-1. Myanmar Coach, Radojko Avramovic change two reserve players in the starting lineup in the second half which produced with good results.

Myanmar has scored first goal in the 48th minute by Min Min Thu before substitute, Kyaw Ko Ko, has scored a second goal in six minutes later.



Brunei successfully scored a consolation goal in the 78th minute by Adi Said. But with control of 60 percent ball possession, Myanmar continues to add goals. This time through Kyi Lin in 82th minute.



In another decision, Cambodia has defeated Timor Leste 3-2.

THE SULTAN CUP U21 2014 Another Malaysia sad episode


 Malaysia failed to find victory, once again suffer the same fate when they lost to India 4-2. Malaysia previously defeated by Great Britain with a 3-2.

With this second defeat, Malaysia ranked 5th, behind New Zealand. While Pakistan was ranked last.

The result saw the Great Britain team victory over Australia 5-1, while New Zealand's 3-2 win over Pakistan. It was New Zealand's first victory in the championship hockey of The Sultan Cup 2014.




The next schedule will take place on October 18, starting with Australia vs India at 4:05 pm followed by Pakistan vs Malaysia at 6:05 pm and the New Zealand vs Great Britain at 8:05 pm Malaysian time.





THE SULTAN JOHOR CUP U21 2014 Great Britain outclass Malaysia


Malaysia suffered their second defeat at the hands of Great Britain a moment ago with a 3-2. Thus closed the opportunity for Malaysia to reach the final.

Great Britain much dominated the game in the first half and has produced two goals for early minutes to 5th by Benjamin James Brignull and in a minute later by David Goodfield through deflection.



The decision remained until the end of the first half  with 2-0.


Arul Selvaraj's players should be praised when relentless attack to the opponent goal. Shahril Saabah hit the first goal in the 49th minute to reduce a deficit. But Luke Taylor successfully added a goal for  Great Britain on 62th minute.



Once again praised to Shahril Saabah when he made another goal from direct penalty corner drag flick in the 65th minute to Malaysia continues to reduce the deficit.


However Malaysia run out of time and decision remained 3-2 until the final whistle.



Meanwhile the earlier matches, India beat Pakistan 6-0 and Australia defeated New Zealand 4-3.


The next match will take place on Thursday, October 16 which New Zealand vs Pakistan at 4:05 pm, Malaysia vs India at 6:05 pm and Australia vs Great Britain at 8:05 pm Malaysian time.

AFF SUZUKI CUP QUALIFIER 2014 Laos step closer to finals


Host AFF Suzuki Cup qualifiers in 2014, Laos is almost certainly going to AFF Suzuki Cup finals in 2014 when they successfully defeated Brunei 4-1.

This was the second defeat of Brunei's almost certainly forget to step into the final round of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014. Previously Brunei had lost to Timor Leste. They will face Myanmar on this afternoon for their second match.



Laos has made two changes of players and managed to produce two early goal to stun his opponent. But Awangku Mohammad Fakharrazi Pg Hassan scored a goal for Brunei bridge the gap while. The goal remained 2-1 until the end of the first half.




Khampheng start the second half by scoring the third goal in the 49th minute before Souk Aphone Vongchiengkham completing his hat-trick in  68th minute. The final decision, Laos and Brunei 4-1.


Before that Laos has managed to beat Cambodia 3-2.


THE SULTAN JOHOR CUP U21 2014 Malaysia tie Kiwis


Arul Selvaraj team seemed comfortable with the draw after successfully tied New Zealand 1-1. Malaysia has overtaken New Zealand almost as early as the 6th minute, but the ball hit by Norsyafiq Sumantri successfully denied by New Zealand defender Brad Read. Malaysia's present goal in 12th minute by Mohd Najmi Jazlan with drag flick from a penalty corner pass.



Malaysia seems to defeat the Kiwis but on 47th minute the team made a silly error in a semi-circle and paid a heavy price. Ben Radovonich picked up a loose ball and doing flicked past Malaysia goalkeeper which make it 1-1 until the final whistle.

Even after a 1-1 draw, Malaysia almost get the next goal, but did not meet the target. Similarly Kiwis who squandered two penalty corner shots on the 60th and 65th minutes



Previously, the two teams have lost to their respective opponents on Sunday. Malaysia lost to Australia 2-1 and India beat New Zealand 2-1.


While the other results, Great Britain successfully managed to get second win by beating India 2-0 and Australia vs Pakistan 1-1.


With these results, Great Britain with 6 points still led the league standings, followed by Australia 4 pts, India 3 pts, Malaysia, New Zealand and Pakistan respectively with 1 point.



The next match will take place on 15 October, which Australia vs New Zealand at 4:05 pm followed by India vs Pakistan at 6:05 pm and Malaysia vs Great Britain at 8:05 pm (Malaysian time).

AFF SUZUKI CUP 2014 QUALIFIER Timor Leste started with first victory


Qualifier to fill two more slots to the AFF Suzuki Cup Cup 2014 has started today. Timor Leste began his first campaign with the team overcome Brunei with the score 4-2 at the National Sports Complex Stadium.

Timor Leste did not wait long to score first when they got it as early as the 6th minute through Murilo Ribeiro de Almeida. But Brunei managed to get two goals by Adi Said in 37th minute and Awangku Mohammad Fakharrazi in 41th minute which remained 2-1 ahead Brunei to lead until the end of the first half.





In the second half, Timor Leste play aggressively up to the 71th and 81th minute, Murilo Ribeiro de Almeida managed to complete his hat-trick before the fourth goal by Patrick Fabiano Luz Alves Nobrega in 89th minutes



Besides Brunei and Timor Leste, the team involved to fill two more slots in groups A and B are hosts Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos.



The Sultan of Johor Cup 2014 U21 Malaysia vs Australia result


Malaysia started the competition with a first defeat against Australia today. But Malaysia showed brilliant game when only lost 1-2 to the World Hockey Giant, Australia.

While India struggle for a win against New Zealand 2-1. 


Great Britain easily defeated Pakistan 5-0 to lead the league standings. Australia and India share in second place, followed by Malaysia, New Zealand and Pakistan.
 





The second match will be held on October 13, 2014 starting with the first match between Great Britain vs India at 4:05 pm, while Australia will go down against Pakistan at 6:05 pm (Malaysian time) before Malaysia vs New Zealand at 8:05 pm


MALAYSIA CUP 2014 Semi final, two Premier League vs two Super League


Pahang is the third team that has been booked into the semi-final slot. Pahang has won over the PDRM last night in the second quarter-final with a score of 2-1 (3-2 aggregate).  


Fauzi became a hero when he scored a victory for Tok Gajah to qualify for the semi-finals. He managed to escape from the opponent's defense when receiving one-two ball that successful finalize with a strong shot to opponent goal. 




Earlier, Pahang and Police draw 1-1 at the Stadium Darul Makmur. With this victory Pahang became the first team from the Super League in 2014 to reach the semi-finals. In the meantime Pahang lost the services of two import players, Dickson Nwakaeme and Damion Stewart were suspended for one match against Kedah soon after received 2 yellow cards and red cards respectively.   



Earlier, former Premier League teams, Felda United and Kedah have reserved slots in semi final when they defeated their opponents respectively.  




While another semi-final slot will be determined by two teams from the Super League on October 16 between Terengganu and JDT.

The Sultan of Johor Cup 2014 Malaysia ready for the challenge


Malaysia ready for the competition in The Sultan of Johor Cup 2014 from Oct 12-19. Malaysia lined nearly all the players who were played in the  17th Asian Games Incheon 2014 recently.

Head coach U21, ArulSelvaraj believe Malaysian hockey players can compete in The Sultan of Johor Cup 2014 until reach to final.



The tournament will keep status quo of six teams in the fourth of Sultan of Johor Cup edition. Countries that joined the Sultan of Johor Cup 2014 U21 are Australia, Great Britain, Pakistan, New Zealand, Malaysia and defending champion 2013, India. The venue will take place in Taman Daya Hockey Stadium Johor Bahru.



Malaysia will play against Australia today, October 12, 2014 at 8:05 pm. This match can be followed on Astro Arena 801 or online streaming.




Harimau Muda U-16 versus PVF Vietnam in final


Harimau Muda U-16 goes to final of FAM-Frenz Champions Trophy U-16 2014  with a full style after beating last season's champions, Chonburi FC with aggregate 6-1.

Last Monday, in the first half had shown Chonburi FC supplant repeatedly to get goal when did a lot of attacked flows to the opposite goal's surrounding. The game tied 0-0.


Of beginning of the second half, Harimau Muda U-16 also cram into the opposite camp which witnessed the 60% ball possession belonging to the national team.

Malaysia scored the first goal at 61th minutes by Najmuddin with full individual skill succeeded to overcome two Chonburi's defenders and goalkeeper.


Zul onwards netted a second goal on 65th minutes for Harimau Muda U-16 to overcome an opponent with a score of 2-0.



However Chonburi FC players had made non-stop attacked for some time but most of movements  can be read and victorious thwarted by the line of defense of Harimau Muda U-16.

Kogeswaran added misery to oppenents team after scored the third goal in the extra time. With this 3-0 victory makes aggreate 6-1 overall.


Another finalist, PVF Vietnam has triumphed rid over Frenz United Malaysia with a 4-0 aggregate victory.

For the record, both of PVF Vietnam defeated Harimau Muda U-16 with scored 2-1 in Vietnam and the Harimau Muda U-16 won 3-0 at the Stadium Frenz Janda Baik in the previous group's matches.



The final soon will take place twice on 23 and 30 August later.

PVF Vietnam thrashed Frenz United


PVF Vietnam comfortably defeated Frenz United with the score 1-0 in the 2nd leg of semi-final at the Stadium Frenz Janda Baik, Pahang just know.

In the first half both teams tied 0-0. The only goal was scored in 86th minute by jersey player number 17, Le.


Meanwhile the right back of Frenz United, Syafiq Halim was sent off in the final minutes for a foul on an opponent.



With this decision, PVF Vietnam have reserved slots in the final to FAM - Frenz Asian Champions Trophy U-16  2014 with aggregate 4-0.


Waiting in the final is the second semi-final match between Harimau Muda U-16 against Chonburi FC which take place on Monday night August 18th, at 7.30 p.m. (Malaysian Local Time). Live on Astro Arena 801.


The match will take place at Chonburi Stadium, Chonburi Thailand.

Malaysia Cup 2014 kick off tomorrow


Heat kickoff increasingly felt when four matches will take place tomorrow night. In group A, Lions XII will meet Felda United and Pahang againts JDT II.

While in group C, the ATM will meet Penang and JDT against Kelantan.

All matches will start at 8:45 pm except the Lions XII and Felda United, which started at 7.45 pm.


On August 14, Thursday, Sarawak will oppose Terengganu and Perak will meet Kedah. All Group B matches will start at 8.45 pm.

Frenz United Malaysia in misery



Hope to see another Under-16 team victory was not reachable, when they were defeated by the VPF Vietnam with a 3-0 win in a 1st leg of semi final, FAM-Fren Asia Champions Trophy U-16 2014.

Vietnamese's first goal was come after a free kick delivery was not captured neatly by Frenz United Malaysia's goalie, then follow up kicked by a striker into the net.



PVF Vietnam performing their best game in terms of control and delivery. Finally managed to add one more goal in the final minutes of before half time to their comfort with the score 2-0.


Starting the second half, the Frenz United Malaysia looks more organized in terms of control and delivery, but can be read by the Vietnamese defense line. Determination striking line of Frenz United Malaysia should be praised even not scored any goals because relentless attack caused Vietnam to loosen attack and had to defensive.






However slackness attacked by Frenz United Malaysia was punished by Vietnamese striker scored one more goal caused by poor passing ball by a Frenz's midfielder was intercepted by Vietnam striker. With these results, Vietnam supply comfortable 3-0 lead before the second round of the second semifinal later




Vietnam and Malaysia Frenz United will meet in the second semi-final league later on August 17 at the Stadium Frenz, Janda Baik, Pahang. Frenz team hopes to overcome Vietnam with  a big scores to advance to the final soon.

Harimau Muda U-16 vs Chonburi FC 1-leg of semi final results


Harimau Muda U-16 has started well in the first semi-final when they had overcome Chonburi FC 3-1. However, the first goal was scored by Sittichok in the 16th minute to put the visitor led 1-0.

But the relentless attack of Harimau Muda U-16 ultimately did not wait long when equalized 1-1 in the 27th minute by a Najib headed the ball into the goal through a corner kick delivery.



Amirul blow up the second goal in the 45th minute before the halftime to Harimau Muda U-16 led 2-1.

Harimau Muda U-16 who need more goal before next semi-final (second leg) on August 18 in Chonburi Thailand soon, managed to add one more goal completed the scoring 3-1. The goal was scored by Kogileswaran after received one-two passing by Najmuddin in extra time. This match was held at the Frenz Stadium, Janda Baik  Pahang.


In another first league of semi final, Frenz United Malaysia will be going to Vietnam Ho Chi Minh Cit meet PVF Vietnam on August 10, 2014 at 5.00 pm (Malaysia local time).


We hope and pray that Frenz United Malaysia is able to overcome PVF Vietnam later before playing for the 2nd semi-final at Frenz Stadium, Janda Baik Pahang.









Result of International Friendly Match : Malaysia vs Tajikistan

Meanwhile, in Group A consists of Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and one runner-up team from the qualifying rounds later.


Aidil believes, Singapore and Thailand will feel the threat of the Harimau Malaya in  AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 campaign despite they were the finalist in 2012.
Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) hope Dollah Salleh as a coach of Harimau Malaya, aiming to qualify to the final of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 will be achieved. He insists his team will not give up eventhough was drawn in the "group of death".

Harimau Malaya versus Tajikistan on Friday


Harimau Malaya under new coach Dollah Salleh will start the tour of AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 edition with the  first friendly match against Tajikistan.



The game will be held on Friday at the Central Republican Stadium in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, which can accommodate as many as 21,400 spectators.

Harimau Malaya have departured to Tajikistan yesterday which the match kick off at 6.00 pm (9.00 pm Malaysian time) on August 8, 2014.


The team led by Aidil Zafuan and Amri Yahya as a trust assistant will perform not 100 per cent fit. They are can play well but not fully fit.


Dollah said the friendly match with the team ranked 126th in the world is the starting point of his career as the head coach of the Harimau Malaya, which can form a strong team soon.


The combination of old and new faces will see Harimau Malaya currently ranked the world's 151 will have a potential through new era under the coach Dollah Salleh, who is assisted by three other experienced coaches.

Malaysia will continue to make preparations towards the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 that will be held on November 22 to December 20, 2014.


The determination of the group vote will be held on August 5 in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014 : Badminton contribute 2 more gold in the last day

Malaysia women's doubles contributed fifth gold in badminton that success to defeat defending champions India 2-0 in straight sets. Vivian Khoo and Woon Khe Wei defeated J.Gutta-A.Ponnappa by a score of 21-17, 23-21 in the 41 minutes.


Meanwhile bronze medals won by Gabrielle Adcock-Lauren Smith who defeated another Malaysian woman's doubles, Lim Yin Loo-Lai Pei Jing with a 2-1 victory.



When the sixth gold for Malaysia was produced in badminton  men's doubles by Tan Wee Kiong-Goh Wei Shem  defeated Danny Chrisnanta-Chayut Triyachart in 3 sets.



Malaysia triumphed beat the Singapore pair with a score of 21-12, 12-21, 21-15 in the 48 minutes. While bronze was won by England.
With this position, put Malaysia on the ladder to 12 overall medalists chart which brought home with 6 golds, 7 silvers and 6 bronzes.
