Harimau Muda A may join S-League next year

According to secreatary-general of Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), Dato' Hamidin Hj Mohd Amin, the Harimau Muda A probably will join Singapore League (S-League) next year. It will be finalized on December this year.

It is whether to send them overseas like previously played in Slovakia. By sending them overseas is still on proposal. They have discussed on option place like Slovakia, Brazil and Australia. If failed, they will come back to S-League next year.

For the record, in year 2012  the team was in fourth place with 10 points gap between the champion league, Tampines Rovers. 

If the Harimau Muda A rejoin the S-League next year while Harimau Muda B placed in Malaysian Premier League and Harimau C will join FAM league.

Meanwhile the head coach of Harimau Muda A, Datuk Ong Kim Swee confirmed the friendly match against Jordan Under-23 in Amman from 8 to 20 November 2013.

Next, Harimau Muda A will oppose the third Japanese League team, FC Ryukyu and another team (will announce soon).  It is preparation for the coming Sea Games 2013 in Myanmar on December.

Kim Swee will sure there will be no clash or overlap in the team player and Harimau Malaya because he and Rajagopal alway discuss together on players substitution.

Still proud lost to UAE

Harimau Malaya head coach, Datuk K.Rajagopal still positive even his boys lost to UAE yesterday. UAE defeated Harimau Malaya 3-1 in Shenzhen, China. He looks the situation as the best performance towards Asian Cup 2013 qualifier against Bahrain on October 15.

He added that it was the 'warm up' match. Rajagopal felt proud even they have to performance without eight of main players including Norshahrul Idlan Talaha, Aidil Zafuan Abdul Razak and Safee Sali.

He said that Bahrain is the selected team. If we consistent or not they still better than us. Rajagopal  believe that we able to make upset according to the last performance against UAE.

After the match against Bahrain on October 15, we will oppose them in their host country.

Harimau Malaya will meet Yemen (home) on Mac 5 2014 on the final match of group D.

Raja to find the best formula oppose Bahrain

Former national coach, Wan Jamak Wan Hassan insist that Datuk K.Rajagopal should find the best formula to meet Bahrain on October 15.

Wan Jamak reviewed after Harimau Malaya defeated by UAE 3-1 in Shenzhen China, yesterday. He hopes Rajagopal able to overcome all weaknesses and achieve high performance against Bahrain soon.

In reality, Harimau Malaya need moral supports to play in a real competition. It is different while in test or experimental match. Many world class team lose because of lose or lack of moral supports even we acknowledge the level of profesionalisms they had.

Like Malaysia League, it is the place to find the best local players to play for the country but in certain condition, long injury may stop them to play for the national team.

In previous records, Harimau Malaya wins and loses record will benefit the opponents. They will see this as an advantage to launch psychology war against us. So we hope Harimau Malaya will not reduce their spirits and will be play in maximum condition of high performance soon.

International friendly match results : Malaysia vs United Arab Emirates

Malaysia was defeated by UAE 3-1. The match was held in Shenzhen, China  played at 7.00 p.m. ago. 

Secretary-General of Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), Datuk Hamidin said that the game was not in level A class match. It is because UAE had requested to FAM to do so when the only six substitution allowed in the game. 

For conclusions, it is only another test game for Harimau Malaya to get ready to oppose Bahrain on October 15.

Harimau Muda A given a month to think

Harimau Muda A head coach, Ong Kim Swee giving a month to the six of the players to think to stay or move to club statues for next season. 

They are A.Thamil Arasu, Mohd Izham Tarmizi Roslan, Irfan Fazail, Mohamad Fadhli Mohd Shas, Ahmad Hazwan Bakri and Wan Zaharulnizam Wan Zakaria.

The condition given by him according to offers by interested club to 'fishing' them while the squad on the preparation for the Sea Games 2013 on coming December.

As a national coach he said that he will not restricts on the condition because the players still in contracts until end of the year 2013. Most of them hopes to be given offers to play especially for their hometown state.

So he hope at moment his boys not lose focus while they are in the last stage for the preparation on the Sea Games soon. He also hopes the clubs or any football associations will respects their mission to retain the gold medal.

Previously, Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) interested to get service of Irfan Fazail, Fandi Othman and Fadhli Mohd Shas while they are stick with the contract until end of 2014.

Beside that, three of the players, Mohd Syahid Zaidon, Muhd Hazwan Rahman and Izzaq Faris Ramlan will be dismisses after passed 23 years old. Meanwhile 17 of them will sticks with Harimau Muda A for season 2014/15.

He also commented on a question for Asia Cup in Incheon, Korea next year will be another future task while now Harimau Muda A should give priority for the coming Sea Games 2013 first.

Rajagobal sensation end of this year?

'Date lapse' for Harimau Malaya head coach, Datuk K Rajagobal will be finished on 31st December 2013. It is about a few months before the contract ended.

Everything it's depends on the match against Yemen in Asian Cup 2015 qualifier, clarified by Football Association of Malaysia (FAM). 

Malaysia with third position in Group D, have three more games to go, reciprocal action against Bahrain on October, Qatar (November) and Yemen (March next year).

In this situation as a last 'lifeline' for Rajagobal, FAM seems to give another opportunities to him until the end of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) set.

FAM secretary-general, Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin told that the 57-year-old coach future will be extended or not, it will be determined when the time comes. 

Tengku Abdullah has give determination of KPI's for him to qualify for the final round of Asia Cup 2015, if the match against Yemen as the solution, everybody has to wait whether his contract will be extended or not.

If that happens, K.Rajagobal will continue his contract and possibility of there. Any rights or power is on FAM's decision to determine whose right to hold the head coach position. 

He added that many application submitted to FAM will given choice to the committee to evaluate but has not made any decision yet.

Piya respect to Rajagopal decision

Mohd Badhri Radzi a bit disappointed after he was not called for the training for preparation on friendly against China, on September 10 in Tianjin, China. 

Even though Datuk K Rajagopal either dismiss or forget him but Captain of The Red Warrior, Piya  has shown his respect with the decision made.

The name list of player called for training was out recently and Piya is not stated in the list. He respect to the decision made by Rajagobal with an open heart.

Piya hopes said this matter will not be an issue because the coach has a right and reason to do so.

Malaysia Under 16 the champion

Malaysia U16 grabbed the title of champion in the AFF AYA Bank Under-16 Championship after won 3-2 through sudden death against Indonesia yesterday.

They have through sudden death after draw 1-1 until ended of second half. 

Malaysia U16 coach, S.Balachandran thanks to Lim Kim Chon (former FAM technical-director) for hiring him as a coach. He also send his praised to players after tried harder to lift the crown. 

The match against Indonesia was so hard. In the first half, Gatot Wahyudi ran in off  a pass from Reksa to beat Malaysia defenders as he slipped the ball past the goalkeeper.

The chance come in last few minutes of first half with a rifling shot from Muhammad Syazwan Salihin which rocked the crossbar.

In second half, Indonesia play defensive with not much change in tactical let all Malaysia midfielders battle in their box and at 88th minute Dimas Ahmad blasted the ball in front of yawning goalmouth after the defender failed to finish the game for Indonesia.

Malaysia come into their best game when they able to tied Indonesia 2-2 in penalties. Malaysian goalie, Mohd Haziq  was the hero when he chip the ball into the goal to beat Panggih which wrong diving to safe the ball. 

Indonesia coach Mundari Karya said that it 50-50 in penalties. They not shamed in their loss today.

Malaysia Cup 2013 begins today

Today will be the greatest 16 teams will starts hunting trophy of Malaysia Cup 2013. Of course the aura of the prestige trophy will create the best competition to grab 8 top slot to quarter finals on September 27, thus to final round that will be held at Shah Alam Stadium, 3rd  November.

The first match will begin tonight within 12 days, which will be held at eight different venues. Perak will serve Sarawak at Ipoh Stadium, Tentera will oppose Sime Darby at MP Selayang Stadium, PKNS will meet Johor DT at Shah Alam Stadium. Felda United will serve T-Team at Temerloh Stadium, Pahang will meet Kelantan at Darul Makmur Stadium, Terengganu will oppose Negeri Sembilan at Sultan Ismail Stadium and Lions XII will meet Kedah at Jalan Besar Stadium.

All matches will start at 8.45 p.m except Lions XII and Kedah will start at 7.45 p.m.

The initial four group stage matches will be held in 12 days that will lead top two spots.

The competition will rest about 16 days from 1 September to let the Merdeka Cup and international friendly matches take place.

Subahan believe Malaysia will qualify for Asia Cup 2015

Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) looks serious in ensuring Harimau Malaya back on the right path.

Harimau Malaya has to prove that they will qualify for Asina Cup 2015 after winning gold in 2009 and 2011 SEA Games and Suzuki Cup 2010. This is the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for Harimau Malaya stated by FAM.

But the target a bit irritated after the squad lost in the most latest international friendly matches including failed to retain the AFF Suzuki Cup last year.

However, national coach Datuk K.Rajagobal believe that they will be able to qualify for the first time the Asian Cup 2015 ever to create a new history. Previous, the national team has never qualified for the Asian Cup so how confident that the mission will be realized?

The manager of Harimau Malaya, Datuk Seri Subahan Kamal believe the KPIs Harimau Malaya to qualify for Asian Cup 2015 is reasonable after considering twice winning on SEA Games 2009 and 2011. In Addition the title of Suzuki Cup 2010 has made the KPIs to Harimau Malaya is in right position for Asian Cup 2015.

Amri Yahyah is the Malaysian Hero

He is the captain of Selangor Football Club (FC), Mohd Amri Yahyah who was so happy after his the only Malaysian's goal scored in the international friendly match against FC Barcelona yesterday at the Shah Alam Stadium.

He is the Malaysian hero after scoring the amazing goal from about 10 to 20 metres distances of the goal posts. Amri shares his key of success by following to the coach's instructions, with full commitments and cooperation to the team all the times. 

The 32-year-old, Amri is the most senior member in the squad of Harimau Malaya still be able to play for the country and had shown excellent performance during the match yesterday. Rajagobal recommended him as the best role model to the younger players nowadays.

"I will always work hard with other team members by giving a strong commitment during training and obey all instructions by coaches is the key to be always in the best performance, said Amri yesteday.

Amri dedicated his scored during the match against FC Barcelona yesterday is for his supporters especially Harimau Malaya's 'die hard' fans. 

The goal was scored through a fast counter-attack and the punishment of negligence of Barcelona defensive.

Before end the conversation, he said that every player selected to play for country must fully give attention to the coach and well-discipline during the training and match.

'I want to give priority for gold first'

Harimau Muda coach, Ong Kim Swee wants to prove his ability to defend the previous Sea Games 2011 gold medalist in coming Sea Games before think to replace Rajagobal position as a head of the coach of Harimau Malaya. 

He was reported after his troops arriving yesterday evening at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) from Slovakia for a friendly match against Europe teams.

"We just completed a long training period in Europe (including participating in the World University Games, Kazan Russia. All experiences and exposures means nothing if it is not managed to reach the semi-finals on coming Sea Games, he said.

Sacked him immediately is not a right solution?

According to Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) suspended president, Tan Sri Annuar Musa belief the consideration of various parties who claim Rajagobal fired is the best solution. Maybe all people agree with this but is not timely.

He claimed the that the matters is not only appoint to him (Rajagobal) but management of Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) entirely.

"In fact, the main task in developing football in the country is responsibility of the FAM as a centre body.

"The failure performance of Harimau Malaya because there is no effort to reform the country's football, he said yesterday.

Previously, the fans blame him (Rajagobal) for the declined performance of his boy in all 13 games this years, which only won twice, drawn one and lost 10 times.

Annuar said that Harimau Malaya will be able to be in the 100 world ranking but all things must be planned and develop in effective method in the future.

Germany coach replace Rajagobal?

The Germany legendary name, Rudi Voeller was touted as a prospects head of coach of Harimau Malaya on replacement candidate after Rajagobal resignation 31 December 2013.

Speculation on replacement of Rajagobal triggered after Harimau Malaya with no progress lost nine friendly matches compare two times win and one draw this year.

Former coach of Germany's 53-year-old will be assigned and responsible to bring Harimau Malaya to the weather of World Cup 2018 qualifying round campaign in Russia if true he will replace Rajagobal.

On other resources, Mueller is also expected candidates to help Harimau Malaya at Australia's Asian Cup campaign 2015 if the team successfully passed the qualifying campaign soon.

Football critics, Zakaria Abdul Rahim comment on speculation, he really welcome Mueller to lead the Harimau Malaya.

However Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) must undergo more details review and make the direction of  target if they want to appoint him (Mueller).

"No spending more for Mueller as a coach for hunting greater success for Harimau Malaya. 

"For me, there is no point in appointing him (Mueller) if we just want to reclaim the AFF Suzuki Cup title, better appointed local coaches," he said yesterday.

Meanwhile, the appointed of Rajagobal on April 20, 2009 will be continue services if him successfully passed the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) set by FAM to Harimau Malaya passed the 2015 Asian Cup qualifying campaign.

The others candidates touted to occupy the 'hot seat' after this, including Sarawak coach, Robert Alberts, former Singapore coach, Radojko Avramovic, head of coach of Harimau Muda A, Ong Kim Swee and former  coach of Harimau Malaya, B.Sathianathan.  

"Preparation of World Cup 2018 qualifying campaign should start early. I like to suggest Harimau Muda A or Harimau Muda B for the country's challenge for the campaign.

"In addition, the Harimau Malaya should also make arrangements in Germany where Mueller became coach for early exposure," said Zakaria.

Mueller was the former of coach for several world-renowned clubs like Marseille and AS Roma. Currently he serves as a director sport of  German club, Bayern Leverkusen since 2005.

He has helped German reached the final of the 2002 World Cup before stepped down as a coach after German early exit at Euro 2004 campaign.

Be selective choose club of world class status

Minister of Youth and Sport, YB Khairy Jamaludin Abu Bakar requested Football of Malaysia (FAM) to increase the priority to be selective to choose class A ranking friendly match but not intend them to avoid play against club in the future.

Khairy said that to play against club status must be selective by make sure it is the best club in the world as it admittedly can also help to improve the team's performance.

In terms of world ranking, he said that he wanted to give priority to the FAM friendly match against a team from other countries because it is real benchmarking of national team strength.

According to FAM schedule of this year, he told that it is not correct when the table's schedule to oppose many clubs status especially with low-quality club. If Harimau Malaya lose, they will condemned too much by fans. That's why it is a big mistake.

He also called to comment on Rajagobal's statements that rating for world ranking is not important since it is the benchmark for strength and reputation of the Harimau Malaya.

Meanwhile, a national player Mahalli Jasuli confess the Japan friendlies matches tours during Ramadhan (fasting) has effect the big lose results for them.

"I don't want to give excuses but the truth is having game during fast day is really different environment (exhausted) and I hope all fans understand the difficulties experienced against Japanese players too.

"In the first game against Shimizu S-Pulse we were lost only 2-0 as we play after the break but in the second and third friendly matches we played in a daytime," he said yesterday.

Rajagobal said that his boys did not display the actual game quality when played during daylight hours (fast), because less energy but during night it is different. 

Mahali hope the fans of Harimau Malaya do not slacken support the team because of 'Japan nightmare'.

'Do not disturb my job'

Datuk K.Rajagobal not bother with some insistence asked him to resign as a coach of Harimau Malaya.

He will continue as a coach of Harimau Malaya until contract expires on 31st December 2013. Obviously it is not effect on his focus job to guide Harimau Malaya eventhough many people criticized him as a factor of performance declined by Harimau Malaya since lately.

Instead he blasted the critics who he described as anger demands for him to resign due to deterioration in the performance of Harimau Malaya.

"I will not resign, my contract will expire on next 31st December 2013. After that it's up to FAM whether to renew my contract or not.

He said that the fans do not know what was happened in Japan and they not see how his players playing overall.

"They do not bother me and team's preparation because we have a great mission to carry out soon, friendly match against FC Barcelona, August 10 and Asian Cup 2015, on next October," he told yesterday after arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) abroad from Japan.

Win two matches from 13 games was so upset which is quite embarrassing.

He also criticized for failing to improve the national team's position which is hanging on 159th in world ranking.

The latest, Harimau Malaya was humiliated in Japan friendlies club tour when they lost a big scores in all the matches and without a score.

He claimed that all the players looked very exhausted during Ramadhan when they were forced to play in a day. He promise to review any action or friendly match in the month of Ramadhan after this.

When he was asked on such criticisms seems not understand him all these years, he said "Do not ask me. Ask the people. They know who was helped the country to win the gold medal of SEA GAMES 2009 after awaiting for 20 years."
