Malaysia Under 16 the champion


Malaysia U16 grabbed the title of champion in the AFF AYA Bank Under-16 Championship after won 3-2 through sudden death against Indonesia yesterday.


They have through sudden death after draw 1-1 until ended of second half. 

Malaysia U16 coach, S.Balachandran thanks to Lim Kim Chon (former FAM technical-director) for hiring him as a coach. He also send his praised to players after tried harder to lift the crown. 


The match against Indonesia was so hard. In the first half, Gatot Wahyudi ran in off  a pass from Reksa to beat Malaysia defenders as he slipped the ball past the goalkeeper.

The chance come in last few minutes of first half with a rifling shot from Muhammad Syazwan Salihin which rocked the crossbar.


In second half, Indonesia play defensive with not much change in tactical let all Malaysia midfielders battle in their box and at 88th minute Dimas Ahmad blasted the ball in front of yawning goalmouth after the defender failed to finish the game for Indonesia.


Malaysia come into their best game when they able to tied Indonesia 2-2 in penalties. Malaysian goalie, Mohd Haziq  was the hero when he chip the ball into the goal to beat Panggih which wrong diving to safe the ball. 


Indonesia coach Mundari Karya said that it 50-50 in penalties. They not shamed in their loss today.
