Robert Alberts Interested from Sarawak to Malaysia


Sarawak Coach, Robert Pene Alberts or Robert Alberts, 58 shows his interests to be Malaysia National Coach or Harimau Malaya if given chance replacing Rajagobal.

But there is no meeting or held talks with Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) so far. Dutch-born coach become the public figure after successfully bringing Sarawak for the title of Malaysia Premier League 2013.


"Many people come and ask me about this (nominated as national coach of the Harimau Malaya), but there was no discussion with FAM yet.

"Certainly any coach would be interested if it was offered, for me it is an honor quite significant.

"If indeed there is an offer from FAM, I'm interested in talks.

"But now I focus on Sarawak towards Malaysia Cup 2013 campaign," said Alberts.

Meanwhile former Singapore coach, Rajodko Avramovic,63 from Yugoslavia has shown interests after he reportedly has submitted application letter to become the new coach of Harimau Malaya.


For 10 years he has helped Singapore to clinch three times the AFF Suzuki Cup title in the 2004, 2007 and 2012 editions.

Beside that, ATM head coach B. Sathianathan and Harimau Muda A coach, Ong Kim Swee also humours to replace Rajagobal's position.


For information, Deputy President of FAM, Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah has announced yesterday that Rajagobal's contract will not be extended after expire date on 31 December 2013.

FAM do not want to extend his contract even there is possibility he managed to bring Harimau Malaya to past Asian Cup 2015 qualifying campaign. 


Tengku Abdullah has confirmed that FAM has received requests from a few candidates who interested in taking over Rajagobal's post.
