Malaysian Hockey mission failed, Dharma Raj should be fired?

Head Coach Hockey of Malaysia, Muhammad Dharmaraj Abdullah is on hot issue after Malaysia hockey team lost in a series of matches in Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014.

Malaysia won the first meeting against Canada with 2-0. After that, Malaysia has failed to achieve any victory even more shame when they lost to the country to 29 world, Trinidad & Tobago with score 2-4.

Furthermore, Malaysia lost with big defeat to England 1-8 and New Zealand 1-6.

Previous, Dharma Raj critized management MHC as 'very weak' and as managing hockey sport like in a cave.

He then called to give a show cause letter to explain to MHC before the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014  on the reason of openly criticizing MHC's management in his social Facebook's wall.

Senior Vice President of MHC, Manjid Majid Abdullah called Dharma Raj and his coaching staff should be fired as Malaysia Hockey team has another 50 days mission to Incheon Asian Games this coming September.

"I will give a full report on the meeting of the combination of coaching and it is up to them to support or not," said Manjid yesterday.

Prior to the Hoceky World Cup 2014,  10 senior players met Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, MHC president to do not let Dharma Raj to take responsibility as the Malaysia 's National Coach.

Malaysia will meet Scotland for the determination of the 7th and 8th place, while the women's hockey managed to finish 7th place when defeated Canada 3-0 in the determination of a penalty corner after draw 2-2.

Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014 Day 5 : More medals for Malaysia

Women's Table Tennis   

Singapore, which is labeled as 'Second China' easily won the gold medal while Malaysia had to be satisfied with the silver medal. The bronze medal was won by Australia, who beat India 3-1.  

Malaysia lined by Beh Lee Wei, Ying Ho, Lee Rou You and Ng Sock Khim. 

Badminton 

In Badminton Mixed Team Event, Malaysia stepped into the final stage. Defending champions Malaysia beat Singapore 3-2.  

Waiting for Malaysia in the final stage either India or England who are competing in the semifinals.   

Lawn Bowls   

In the final event of the Women's Four, Malaysia had to conform to the greatness of South Africa. Malaysia lost 9-14 to the silver medal position. The bronze medal was won by New Zealand.

Women Squash  

Datuk Nicol Ann David has stepped into final when easily defeating Joelle Kelly from New Zealand in straight sets 3-0 (11-6,11-8, 11-5).

Cycling  

In the Women's Sprint, Fatihah Mustafa was failed to gain bronze after lost to Jess Varnish 2-0. Gold and Silver medals won by Australians, Anna Meares and Stephanie Morton  

In the Men's Keirin, Azizulhasni Awang going to the finals when he won first place Heat 1 of semifinals. While Joshua Ng had satisfied the fifth place.

Squash

Nicol will meet Jenny in the quarter-finals

World number one squash player Datuk Nicol Ann David booked a quarter-final slot when easily beat Megan Craig  from New Zealand in straight sets 11-7, 11-6, 11-5 in 26 minutes at Scotstoun Squash Centre yesterday.

He will meet Jenny Duncalf of England, who beat Sam Cornett of Canada 11-4, 11-5 and 11-7.

While in the men squash, Mohd Nafiizwan Mohd Adnan has lost to Peter Barker of England, 7-11, 6-11 and 3-11.

Cycling

'The pocket rocket man', Malaysia track sprint cyclist, Mohd Azizul Awang failed to semi-finals after winning only one race against Sam Webster, riders from New Zealand. In this event, need at least two wins to move into the semi-finals.

Ping-pong

Malaysia managed to Jamaica 3-0 in the women's team event at Scotstoun Sports Campus. Malaysia lined by Ho Yin as a player first single defeated Shenique Clare, 14-12, 11-7 and 11-5, followed by Lee Rou You beat Yvonnw Foster, 6-11, 11-6 and 11-7. Next followed by Malaysia's top women's doubles pair, Beh Lee Wei and Rou You won over Dadrian Shenique and Clare Lewis, 11-4, 11-5 and 11-7.

Before that, the Malaysia women's table tennis team beat Papua New Guinea 3-0 and Canada 3-2

With Malaysia is in the top spot in group 6.

Swimming

Chui Lai Kwan managed to improve his best performance in the 50m freestyle swimming event when recording 26.00 seconds to qualify for the semi-finals. This is a new record. But in the semi-finals, he only recorded 26.10 seconds.

Malaysia ranking on day 2

Mohd Zulhelmi Pisol invigorate the Malaysian contingent after the country's first medal in the event of weightlifting after a surprise swelled lift of 56 kg category by winning the silver medal.

Zulhelmi success got the attention of the Prime Minister congratulated him on his success.

Zulhelmi Pisol from Penang managed to make the armed snatch 108 kg and clean and jerk, weighing 137 kg. While the gold and bronze medals won by participants from India.

Malaysia added another medal collection in gymnastics rhythmic team event won by Amy Kwan Dict Weng, Fatin Zakirah Jalany Zain and Wong Poh San. They have won the first bronze medal for the country.
