Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014 day 9 : Another gold for Malaysia

Malaysia has to wait another day to bring delightful moment to Malaysia Team after Ooi Tze Liang victory in Men's 3m Springboard final today.

With 4 over 6 round of the diving, Tze Liang maintain his momentum in 2nd ranked after Jack Laugher from England. Then he has taken lead of the group until 6th round to win for the 4th gold for the country. 

He lead the group with total point, 457.60, while Jack Laugher with 449.70. Bronze medal won by Oliver Dingley from England with 425.20 point.


Meanwhile two others divers, Ahmad Amsyar Azman is in 5th place with 412.65 and Chew YiWei in 10th place with 368.50.


In men hockey, there is another upset after Malaysia had defeated by New Zealand  1-6. It was another bad report and pending execution from Malaysia Hockey Confideration (MHC) to coach, Dharmaraj Abdullah.


Malaysia 's top women shuttler, Tee Jin Yee move to 3rd round (preliminary round) after beat Sri Lanka's Nadeera Murukkuwadura 21-9, 21-6  to advance. Meanwhile, in men single, Liew Daren and Chong Wei Feng move to  semi-finals to meet P.Kashyap and R.V. Gurusaidutt respectively.


In the mixed doubles, Chan Peng Soon-Lai Pei Jing defeated Buwaneka Dullewa-Madushika Buruwalage with straight set 21-13, 21-15. However  another mised pair, Tan Wee Kiong-Vivian Hoo lost to Chris Adcock-Gabrielle Adcock from England, 21-17, 21-11.

Harimau Malaya coaches ignore criticism

Dollah Salleh as the new coach of the Harimau Malaya refused to serve the whims of some people who questioned the appointment of three assistant in Harimau Malaya.


Dollah prefers silence to focus on strategies for forming the Harimau Malaya team towards the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 to be held in November.




"I chose assistant coach also wants to be an issue. Former coach was appointed an individual who is not a former state and national levels, why not questioned?" He said yesterday.


Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014 day 6 : Malaysia had climbed to 9


On the 6th day of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014, the Malaysian team managed to add two more gold medals and 1 more silver medal. 


In the Women's Squash, Datuk Nicol Ann David produced Malaysia's second gold when she beat Laura Massaro of England with a straight-set 3-0 (12-10, 11-2, 11-5). 

Present the country's third gold was in Badminton Mixed Team event, when Malaysia defeated England 3-1. 


England's first managed to get the first point in mixed doubles by Chris Adcock-Gabrielie Adcock beat Chan Peng Soon-Lai Pei Jing 21-14, 26-28. 

Chong Wei Feng beat Ouseph Rajic 21-19-21, 21-19 to tied England 1-1. 


The second point of the country contributed by the men's doubles, Tan Wee Kiong-Goh V Shem beat Chris Cock-Andrew Ellis 21-19, 21-17. 

And the Malaysian team sealed victory 3-1 through women's singles player Tee Jing Yee, who beat Sarah Walker 21-16, 21-17.  The bronze medal was won by India, who beat Singapore 3-2.


Malaysia's silver medal has produced through men's pairs lawn bowls lined by Fairul Izwan Abd Muin and Hizlee Muhammad Abdul Rais. Scotland won the gold medal with the final score of 20-3. The bronze medal was won by the team of England.

Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014 Day 5 : More medals for Malaysia


Women's Table Tennis   
Singapore, which is labeled as 'Second China' easily won the gold medal while Malaysia had to be satisfied with the silver medal. The bronze medal was won by Australia, who beat India 3-1.  

Malaysia lined by Beh Lee Wei, Ying Ho, Lee Rou You and Ng Sock Khim. 



Badminton 
In Badminton Mixed Team Event, Malaysia stepped into the final stage. Defending champions Malaysia beat Singapore 3-2.  

Waiting for Malaysia in the final stage either India or England who are competing in the semifinals.   


Lawn Bowls   
In the final event of the Women's Four, Malaysia had to conform to the greatness of South Africa. Malaysia lost 9-14 to the silver medal position. The bronze medal was won by New Zealand.

Women Squash
 
Datuk Nicol Ann David has stepped into final when easily defeating Joelle Kelly from New Zealand in straight sets 3-0 (11-6,11-8, 11-5).

In the Women's Sprint, Fatihah Mustafa was failed to gain bronze after lost to Jess Varnish 2-0. Gold and Silver medals won by Australians, Anna Meares and Stephanie Morton  

In the Men's Keirin, Azizulhasni Awang going to the finals when he won first place Heat 1 of semifinals. While Joshua Ng had satisfied the fifth place.

Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014 : Malaysia latest result and standing

Mohd Mansor Hafifi successfully produced the country's first gold medal in the men's weightlifting 69 kg. The silver medal was won by Yinka Ayenuwa of Nigeria and bronze medals were won by Omkar Otari from India.

Squash
World number one Datuk Nicol Ann David stepped into the semi-finals when she beat England's Jenny Duncalf 3-1. (11-9, 11-7, 5-11, 11-4).


Rugby 7 side
In the first match, Malaysia lost to Wales 52-0. Next Malaysia lost to Papua New Guinea 36-7.

Gymnastics Rhythmic
Wong Poh San donate a silver medal in the Individual Ribbon and a bronze medal in the Individual Hoop.

Shooting
In the women's 10m air rifle final, Nursuriani Mohamed Taibi managed to get a bronze medal. While gold and silver medals won by participants from India, Apurvi Chandela and Ayonika Paul.

Squash
Nicol will meet Jenny in the quarter-finals

World number one squash player Datuk Nicol Ann David booked a quarter-final slot when easily beat Megan Craig  from New Zealand in straight sets 11-7, 11-6, 11-5 in 26 minutes at Scotstoun Squash Centre yesterday.


He will meet Jenny Duncalf of England, who beat Sam Cornett of Canada 11-4, 11-5 and 11-7.
While in the men squash, Mohd Nafiizwan Mohd Adnan has lost to Peter Barker of England, 7-11, 6-11 and 3-11.


Cycling
'The pocket rocket man', Malaysia track sprint cyclist, Mohd Azizul Awang failed to semi-finals after winning only one race against Sam Webster, riders from New Zealand. In this event, need at least two wins to move into the semi-finals.



Ping-pong

Malaysia managed to Jamaica 3-0 in the women's team event at Scotstoun Sports Campus. Malaysia lined by Ho Yin as a player first single defeated Shenique Clare, 14-12, 11-7 and 11-5, followed by Lee Rou You beat Yvonnw Foster, 6-11, 11-6 and 11-7. Next followed by Malaysia's top women's doubles pair, Beh Lee Wei and Rou You won over Dadrian Shenique and Clare Lewis, 11-4, 11-5 and 11-7.

Swimming

New Harimau Malaya kick off soon

Harimau Malaya initiated steps to a friendly match against Tajikistan in Central Stadium, Dushanbe on August 8. This is the first game under the operating Dollah Salleh preparation for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 to be held in November.

Dollah Salleh appointed as new coach of Harimau Malaya


Dollah Salleh was officially appointed as coach of the Harimau Malaya from June 28 recently. He undertake the task of replacing Datuk K. Rajagopal who completed his contract in December last year.
