Thomas Cup 2016 : Malaysia to the semifinals

Malaysia has made it to the quarter-finals of the Thomas Cup in 2016 after successfully defeating Germany 5-0, yesterday

In the first match, Lee Chong Wei has gained the first point by beating Kai Schaefer 21-19, 21-15.


The second point was contributed by our men's doubles, Goh V Shem-Tan Wee Kiong with a straight sets victory over Richard Domke-Fabian Holzer 21-12, 21-11.

In the third match involving second singles player Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin ,, defeated Lars Schaenzler in straight sets 21-7, 21-16.

Point four countries was collected by former All England champion doubles, Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong who overcame Mark Lamsfuss-Josche Zurwonne 21-15, 21-16.



In the fifth match, Chong Wei Feng has completed a 5-0 point victory after beating David Peng 21-9, 21-18.

In another match, South Korea defeated England 5-0.

Today Malaysia will meet South Korea to determine the champion of Group C. Only victory will determine seeded to avoid facing a difficult path.
